Having just returned from a wonderful holiday at The Hideaway, Amandola, I feel I must recommend it as a perfect place to relax in the beautiful countryside of Le Marche. The apartment was well equiped - we wanted for nothing - and Sarah & Mark were always on hand to advise us and give us information about the walks, sightseeing and the coastline - which is only a 40 min. drive away. At this spring time of year, the locals were busy ploughing the fields, the blossom was on the trees and everything a picture, green and fresh, but snow still remained on the tops of the mountains. Sarah & Mark also have a wealth of knowledge of where to eat in the area - great recommendations.

I recommend it as a quiet relaxing place to stay but with many amenities around, with the true feel of Italy : the Italians are truly friendly people too.  GP UK April 2013

We feel so lucky to have found The Hideaway. It is the perfect place to relax & to have as a home base whilst exploring the Sibillini National Park. Things we enjoyed most in the area were: 1. Ridge walks & Meadows (M. Sibilla & M. Vettore), the flowers were so beautiful, it was cook & the views fabulous from the tops of the mountains. 2. Learning about the rich cultural/ agriculture/ history of the area (museum in Amandola & nature trail at Garulla). 3. Very friendly & patient people of Le Marche! 4. Cooking with fresh ingredients & eating on our terrace. 5. Warm hospitality of Sarah & Mark & the dogs. We'll remember the place fondly, recommend it to others & hope to return someday. Thank you! Mark & Sarah, thank you for providing such a beautifully restored hideaway. We have throughly enjoyed our stay thanks to the splendidly equipped cottage. Three wonderful relaxing weeks here! Agree with all the previous comments with previous visitors, but would like to add that early August is very good for seeing the Persied meteors (shooting stars) especially to the right hand side of the oak tree in the left of the garden.
